In their free time at the Village athletes unwind by reading, writing e-mails and surfing the web.
The multimedia centre on the sixth floor of the Maison Internationale’s left wing provides entertainment for hundreds of people every day. The watchword here is silence as the athletes enjoy some welcome respite from training, competition or watching events on the giant screen down on the lawn. They can consult their e-mails, chat, check out results on sports sites or update their own sites on one of forty computers!
Magazines and newspapers are also on offer in English, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic or even Serbian ! The centre was designed by an American architect in 1935 and is today a classified building (moulded glass caisson ceiling and mural paintings).
