With the 3,600 Volunteer team now complete, the Organising Committee will regularly run features on the men and women who will be putting their talent into making the 9th IAAF World Championships in Athletics a great success.

At 26, Guylaine, a secretary at the French Ministry of Defence, has a real zest for life. Skilfully balancing her military duties with numerous sporting and cultural activities, her dynamic get-up-and go lifestyle has served her very well.
After university studies in biology, she joined the French Navy and climbed the ranks to reach her current position as assistant to the head of the Navy. Although immersed in military affairs, she also leads an extremely active life in the civilian world from her home in Houilles, near Paris. She enjoys rock’n roll and Cuban salsa and still finds time to teach modern jazz to 9-11 year-olds.
Guylaine has also devoted much effort to the Gourmand’Art association which, since its creation in 2002, has been active in gaining access to “culture” for people from every walk of life. Rambling, aerobics and cycle tourism complete her line-up of leisure activities.
She can now add to her resumé the prospect of being part of a major international sporting event. She believes her people skills and enthusiasm make her the ideal candidate for working as a reception hostess at the airports for the 9th IAAF World Athletics Championships.
