 STANDINGS
The 9th IAAF World Championships in Athletics will unfold over 9 consecutive
days, without a rest day, from 23-31 August 2003 at the Stade de France®;.
The programme has first and foremost been drawn up with a view to meeting the
needs of both the athletes and the general public (500,000 spectators are expected
over the nine days of competition), who will be able to watch major events after work,
courtesy of the evening sessions on weekdays from 6pm.
Television viewers won't be neglected either, as the programme has been developed in
such a way as to fit in with French television prime time and to meet the requirements
of the European television channels broadcasting the Championships live.
